A Big Kid & a Toddler

How do I already have a such a big girl and a toddler!?! We are having so much fun with our girls. They have been playing together very well lately. Of course we have lots of opportunities to teach "be kind", "share", "be gentle", etc, but getting to hear them giggle and use their imaginations together...it's the best.

Samantha had her one-year check up last week. She's long (75th percentile) and skinny (5th percentile) but the doctor says she's healthy and growing great. Her first word is definitely "up!" but she is working on mama and dada. She says the words but just not always in the right context! She walks 99 percent of the time now and is close to running.

Danielle is doing great, too. She is such a good helper and SO fun to be around. She got to go have a tea-party at a friends house last week. It was a lot of fun. She told me the other day, "I can't wait until Samantha gets bigger....then she can play tea party with me and then her job can be to hand me the silverware out of the dishwasher and I'll put it away!!". Pretty random but cute.

We had a fun sledding trip last weekend. Danielle was a real trooper. She did cry the first time she fell and got snow in her face but after getting warmed up with a little hot chocolate she was willing to go back out and try again. We have waited so long to do these things with our kids and now it's finally happening. We are so thankful to God for such special kids.
