A day at the park

Every Tuesday in the summer we meet with other mom's and kids at the park. Danielle loves to swing and play on the frog! Last time she brought her baby and pushed her on the swing. It's nice to visit with my friends and also give Danielle some time outdoors with other kids.

We are still babying our new lawn. There are some spots that seem to be growing great and are ready for mowing but others are still struggling. It will all turn out great I'm sure, it's just takes a little patience.

Not too much else is new. I'll post my photos from the park and go take my nap!

Busy in the backyard

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated this blog. June was a rough month for me. Hopefully you all got the memo that I'm pregnant with our 2nd child due January 15th. While I was so thankful for the little one growing well inside me it was a long month of exhaustion and nausea. This weekend I am 12 weeks and am feeling so much better. Now the next 6 months we plan on preparing Danielle to be a big sister, spending special one-on-one time with her, and getting ready to become a family of 4.

I am sharing some photos of our beautiful back yard. Thanks to lots of help from family and friends we now have a very big deck & lawn in our back yard. We decided to install sprinklers and lay sod. The preparation was the hardest part but once that was done, the sod was delivered on July 4th and 6 people worked very hard for a little over an hour and had it all rolled out. Instant lawn! I'll show a photo with the sod on the pallets and then what it looked like 1 1/2 hours later. They were so fast I didn't have a chance to get a photo of it "in progress". Oh well. It's beautiful and we love it.
