Well, it was fun for awhile writing from Danielle's perspective but now I think I'll use my own words. You will get to read my ramblings and probably quite a bit of bragging, too.
Today I finished our taxes and it was my first year writing "home maker" as my occupation. I've always known when I became a mom that I would stay home with my child, what I didn't know was how much I would love it. I really liked my job and it was nice to have my work recognized by people and the paycheck was certainly good, too, but absolutely nothing compares to being Danielle's "Mama". I get to lay her down and pick her up from every nap. One of the highlights of my day is hearing her waking up from her nap, talking to her Bambi or blankie, and then I go in there and her face lights up as if she hasn't seen me in days! I get to teach her all day long. Simple things like sign language, her animals, songs, coloring, etc. We communicate more than I ever imagined such a young child and her mama could. So, I may not get the same recognition that I did at my office job but the bonus' are priceless. I am thankful that God has given me a supportive husband, a terrific family and a great group of mom's that encourage me in my new line of work! Well, I think that's enough for tonight. Now I'll post a photo and head to bed.
