Last weekend the girls and I took a trip with my mom to San Jose to visit my grandma. We had a wonderful time together! My mom had a great idea to bring some kids music to sing songs with the girls in the car. That was a hit! We saved it for the last hour of the trip when everyone is wondering, "are we there yet?".
We went to a little kids amusement park one day. It was perfect for Danielle and Samantha because they were both big enough to ride the rides by themselves. There was also a petting zoo with very friendly animals. A great time was had by all.
The next day was a little more low key. We found a beautiful park and visited a dear friend. Then, it was off to my favorite restaurant for Grandma's birthday dinner! I know it sounds a little backwards that I picked the dining spot for her birthday but Gram likes to let us choose since we don't have many restaurant to choose from at home. Delicious food and Samantha's first meal in a booster seat. No more high chair....such a big girl.
On our way home we stopped in to visit my cousins Jeff & Mandy and their baby Remy. She's such a cutie and growing very quickly...glad we saw her briefly before she starts walking.
This weekend the fair was in town. Another opportunity for the girls to pet animals, ride on their favorite ride (the carousel), and share memories with family.
