These pictures are all from the team's first practice last week.  What a precious group of kids.  Jeff is an awesome coach and just loves these little kiddos. 

The video is from last night's game.  Everyone had lots of fun and I just happened to have the video camera rolling when Danielle scored one of their goals.

Samantha - My Little Cubbie

This week was a very big one for Samantha.  She got to start Cubbies (the AWANA program at church).  I am a helper in Cubbies so I got to see her the entire time.  She was such a big girl.  This picture was taken right after she received her beloved cubbie vest.  What an exciting moment for her.

Samantha and I have been having a lot of fun with our mornings together.  I haven't put any pictures up but we've gone berry picking, had playdates, library dates, coffee shop dates, visited family members, and helped in Danielle's class room.  Everywhere we go she is the big girl and no longer much of a baby. I am thankful for this time to have just the 2 of us. 

Next post.....Danielle's starting soccer again!  Such fun.

You can imagine the very next thing she said she wanted to learn!  We're still working on it.

Danielle is so incredibly thrilled to be in Kindergarten.  She enjoyed preschool but she has looked forward to "real school" for a long time.  Her first day of school Jeff and I took her in together.  It was really an exciting morning and there wasn't much time for any sadness on Mom & Dad's part.  The school starts their day with an Assembly/Chapel time so we stood in the back of the room while they began.  We were looking around the classroom when I realized that the teachers were praying for EACH child individually.  I had not shed a tear all morning but that totally made my eyes fill with tears.  How wonderful to leave my child at a school that cares enough for her individually to pray for her, asking God to bless her school year, etc.  We drove away feeling very blessed.

We had a really wonderful weekend on the Northern California Coast.  It was nice to have time to do things like relax, hike and explore together.  We picked lots (more than 15 gallons or so) of blackberries (for jam and cobbler!), the girls rode their bikes and then each day we took a picnic and went on an adventure.
