16th months old!

Yesterday Danielle turned 16 months old. Time is flying by but we are enjoying every moment. The other day the weather was cloudy which made for some good lighting for photos. We were at my Uncle Dale's house and Danielle liked his dog, when the dog disappeared around the corner I snapped this picture. I'm sure she was thinking "where did that dog go?!".
Danielle's favorite activity these days is to go outside for walks. Sometimes she walks on her own and sometimes she is in the jogging stroller. We are looking forward to a little warmer weather but for now we just bundle up and go. Jeff has been working on a fence for our backyard and soon we will put in a lawn and playground. We are realizing how much Danielle would enjoy a yard to play in this summer.
The most precious thing Danielle started doing last week is holding out her hand to pray for every meal. We have been praying with her at dinner-time for awhile and she thinks it's neat but last week was the first time she initiated it. I look forward to teaching her about who God is and that He is the one we are thanking for our many blessings.

Happy Easter

I have to say this was my best Easter ever! Danielle had her 1st easter egg hunt Saturday night at Grammie & Grandpa's, an amazing amount of fun for all. Seeing her eyes light up and search for the eggs was precious. Easter morning Danielle and I snuggled up at story time while Daddy slept in. We read out of her storybook Bible how after Jesus died on the cross for our sins His body could not be found that Easter morning because he wasn't dead...He was alive! Later at chuch Jeff, Danielle & I rejoiced together and I thanked God for my little family. In the afternoon we joined some good friends for another Easter dinner and egg hunt. Danielle was again excited about the brightly colored eggs... she and Daddy searched high and low while I snapped lots of photos. I'll post a few of my favorites.

A friendly visit

The other day my friend Jill and her son Mason came to visit us. We had fun playing together. Mason is also 15 months old and a real cutie! It was tough to get a picture of them because they don't hold still but I finally caught them in a hug.

We are so happy to be healthy and feeling good. These days Danielle loves being outdoors, going for walks and playing fetch with Duke. Today she started a new thing...when Daddy called from work to check on us I put the phone up to her ear and she started laughing so hard into the phone. She wouldn't talk but she would giggle. It was very fun because normally she is silent when you put the phone to her ear.

Hi everyone - I love writing about all the wonderful things in our life but since you all care about us I wanted to keep you posted even if things aren't so wonderful. Tuesday morning Danielle got sick again. The doctor thinks it is the Rotavirus. Anyway, it's some sort of stomach bug and while she is no longer vomiting today she was just plain miserable. We know she will be fine and she is keeping hydrated and getting lots of rest, but we would like prayer. It's tough to see her so miserable, not wanting to play with her toys or even talk much. Jeff also got sick with something similar so he's pretty miserable, too. So we would appreciate your prayers and when we are feeling better we'll update you with some photos.
