It's been a rough few weeks since the girls got sick, Jeff was gone and then he got back for just a few days and it was his turn to be very, very sick.  We are thankful to finally be feeling well again.  Right before Jeff got sick we took the girls to this Sportsmans Expo which was a fun time for our family.  They had a cool rock climbing wall, a little fishing pond, and the bow and arrow shoot among other things. 

The reason I haven't had any new posts lately (besides just plain being busy) is our computer died. It took some time to get a new one and then get things organized so I could get back to this blog. 

Week of the flu.

I was very thankful that we stayed healthy from November - February.  I knew that our time for sickness would come but I was truly enjoying the good health all winter long.

When I picked up Danielle from preschool on Wednesday she said that her head was hurting.  She didn't eat any lunch and then took a long nap so I figured she really wasn't feeling too well.  Once she woke up the symptoms really showed up...throwing up, fever, etc.  Poor thing was so miserable for a few days.

Friday night both girls seemed pretty well so I got to go out with friends and enjoy an evening of bunco, visiting, etc. 

Unfortunately Samantha's turn came on Saturday.  She started with the major fever (got up to 104-105) and misery and the vomiting came Saturday in the middle of the night.  The fever is lower but still hanging on and she is pretty uncomfortable.  I did break out the tylenol for Samantha and it's helping her manage. 

I sure look forward to when both my girls are back to normal but I am glad I can be here for them when they are in misery.

I was talking with a friend last night about whether we would want to have another baby or not.  While there are parts of me that miss the baby phase very much God has made it very clear to both Jeff and I that our family is just the right size. 

Well, days like today are such great reminders of the blessings of our family of 4.  Our girls are now big enough to thoroughly enjoy snow, sledding, outdoor activities, etc.  It was so fantastic to get to enjoy them with no baby to hold, fussy kid to warm up, both can survive without a nap, etc.  So today was a day full of smiles and fun family time.  Enjoy the photos!

It was so fun to watch both girls really enjoy the snow this year.  Last year Samantha was not too thrilled with the cold, wet snow.....  This year she cried as she watched it melt away!  Tomorrow we will head up to do some real sledding where there is some more snow.  Can't wait!!
