Danielle Riding Her 2-Wheel Bike!

What a big day for Danielle.  She has been thinking about trying her 2-wheel-bike but hadn't quite decided to go for it....until she saw a video of a friend (4 year old boy) riding his 2-wheel-bike.  She said, "If Dean can do it then SO CAN I!"  She was determined to do it so we took a day and went to the park.  Jeff made sure she had a good helmet that fit right along with long pants and shirt. 

The park we went to had a pretty narrow bike path and Jeff wanted her to be able to practice turning, etc, so they started on the grass.  She figured it out right away and had a big smile on her face most of the time.  I had to take the picture of her with her tongue out because I believe it's an Andresen (my dad's family) trait.  My grandmother used to decorate cakes and she would always have her tongue moving when she was concentrating as she worked.

We were all very excited for Danielle.  I'm sure she will keep practicing throughout the summer but it's great to know that she can do it! 

Of course I did get it on video but I haven't figured out a quick way to load a video.

I know it's been awhile again but I'm busy enjoying life, my family and all of my blessings.  I also forget sometimes that there are some people who actually read this...thanks to Grandma Mac for reminding me that you enjoy my updates.

We had a great weekend (Friday and Saturday) visiting my parents as they "camped" at an RV park in Southern Oregon.  The weather was perfect for bike rides and picnics. 

The girls got lots of riding time.  Danielle is SO close to removing her training wheels.  She's probably more ready than mom and dad are!  Samantha gets a little braver and stronger each time she rides.  She will probably be riding on 2 wheels next year because she will want to keep up with her big sister!

Danielle had a wonderful time being a big girl and getting to go on bike rides with Grandpa and Daddy.  Her first long bike ride she got to do alone with Grandpa.  She felt so special.  My Dad came back and told me that while on the bike ride she said to him, "Grandpa, I think this is the most fun we've had together".  Precious memories...it's the little things that melt my heart.

It was fun to see Grandma & Grandpa Mac (dear friends of the family).  They treat our girls like their own grandkids.  We are blessed to have so many wonderful people love our kids.

Well, I could go on and on about our weekend, but the pictures and the smiles will probably tell enough of the story.  We are thrilled that spring has sprung and we have many, many blessings to count.
