This weekend we took our first camping trip of the year. We went to a beautiful RV park on the Rogue River. The weather was so beautiful that we fit in quite a few bike rides, played cards in the shade, and threw rocks in the river. Daddy and Grammie spent a lot of time helping Danielle on her big girl bike with training wheels. Danielle is getting so confident on it which is fun to see! The highlight of the trip for Danielle was sleeping in the tent, playing in the tent, roasting marshmallows. The highlight for Samantha may have been all the dogs she got to see. We also played a game of mini-golf at a nearby fun center. Mini-golf with a 3 and 1 yr. old is a little chaotic but it was still a lot of fun.

Memory Lane...part 3

The last day of our trip we visited the campus of Sonoma State University. I got a picture of Jeff and the girls on the steps outside the dorm room where we first met. We toured the campus and saw how much it has changed, grown, etc. Unfortunately it was pouring rain while we tried to walk around so I didn't get any other pictures. So...I thought I would share a few of us taking the girls bowling in Rohnert Park. This trip sure did bring back the memories!!! Great idea Jeff!

Memory Lane...part 2

I had to include some pictures of us at the playground at Golden Gate Park. It was a great spot with a little fun for every age. My mom & Gram met us there and enjoyed a ride on the carousel with the girls. So special!

A walk down memory lane...part 1

Jeff had an incredible idea for our 10th wedding anniversary. He took our family to the place where we met, fell in love, and where he proposed to me in May 1999. Our first stop was Golden Gate Park and the beautiful spot where Jeff got down on his knee (in a row boat!) and proposed. What an amazing day it was 11 years ago and how special to bring our girls and tell them the story, take pictures, etc.

Happy Birthday Grammie!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. We had a nice evening celebrating her special day. Danielle just loves birthdays! She wore her birthday dress (Grandma gave it to her for her 3rd birthday and she likes to wear it on everyone's birthday!) with cupcakes on it. Grammie told her what she wanted for her birthday was a BIG hug. So, that's what she got...pretty sweet. I was excited to get some great pictures. Now I'll share them with you.

Enjoying Our Beautiful Valley

We live in such a beautiful place and today we spent some time really enjoying it. Jeff had the great idea to take a picnic to a nearby river so we packed a lunch and took a drive. It turns out I took more pictures of the girls than I did of the scenery...oh well. Danielle asked so many good questions about nature and Jeff patiently answered each one. Everything from, "where did the stick go when the water carried it away?" to "are there sharks in the river, Daddy?" I can't wait to take this same drive in another week or so when all the oak trees are getting their leaves!!
